UN Security Council to Hold Closed-Door Meeting Today Amid Rising India-Pakistan Tensions Over Border and Security Issues

The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) is set to convene a closed-door meeting today to discuss escalating tensions between India and Pakistan. The consultation comes amid growing international concern over renewed border skirmishes and rising political and military friction in the region.

The situation between the two nuclear-armed neighbors has worsened in recent weeks, with both sides accusing each other of ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC) in the disputed region of Jammu and Kashmir.
