Performing artists Shah Rukh Khan, Suniel Shetty, and Sanjay Dutt have paid tribute to previous India captain Bishan Singh Bedi, who passed away on Monday. As per news organization PTI, he kicked the bucket at the age of 77 after engaging in a drawn-out illness. The late sportsperson is survived by his spouse Anju, child Angad Bedi and daughter-in-law Neha Dhupia

Shah Rukh Khan pays tribute to the late sportsperson

Taking to X (once known as Twitter), Shah Rukh composed, “Developing up our lives is shaped by the soul, the fervor, and sheer elegance of individuals who we see and encounter around us. Mr. #BishanSinghBedi was one of them. May God favor his soul, and thank you, sir, for educating us so much around sports & life. You may be missed gigantically. RIP.”

Suniel Shetty penned a note

Suniel Shetty shared a return photo of Bishan Singh Bedi. He tweeted, “Profoundly disheartened to listen to almost the misfortune of the turn legend, Bishan Singh Bedi. A man who was venerated not just for his cricketing ability but also for the genuineness and keenness he carried in his heart He was a genuine maestro of the diversion and an inspiration to so many. May his bequest proceed to motivate eras. Rest in peace, Bedi Sir.”

Sanjay Dutt and Hansal Mehta paid homage

Sanjay Dutt shared on X, “Cricket has misplaced a legend nowadays, but the recollections and minutes made by Bishan Singh Bedi ji will live on until the end of time. My contemplations are with his family and the complete cricketing community as we grieve this significant misfortune (collapsed hands emoji).”

About Bishan Singh Bedi

“He breathed his final at his domestic this morning. He has, as of late, experienced a knee operation. The disease spread, and he may not recuperate from that,” PTI cited one of his near companions as saying. Born in Amritsar in 1946, he played 67 Tests for India and took 266 wickets with 14 five-wicket pulls and one 10-wicket pull. He was briefly the director of the Indian cricket group in 1990 during visits to Unused Zealand and England.
Bishan Singh Bedi was one of the most appreciated Indian captains, and he led the group for about four years in Test cricket between 1975 and 1979, after Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi’s retirement. He was the longest-serving Delhi Ranji group captain from 1974 to 1982.
